'Worst Idea Ever' by Jane Fallon

Worst Idea Ever (2021) by Jane Fallon is by far one of the best books I have ever read. It is gripping, hilarious and enjoyably tongue-in-cheek.

Lydia's online business is struggling to take off and her love life is non-existent. Best friend Georgia however, has it all. There's a pot of jealousy just waiting to boil over. Trying to be a good friend, Georgia pretends to be an online customer. It seems like a harmless plan, until Lydia starts revealing secrets to her new internet friend. Georgia quickly starts to realise she and Lydia aren't as close as she thought. The problem is, she can't confront Lydia because then she'll know that she faked being a customer. With Georgia's marriage and longest friendship thrown into question, can the women put all their cards on the table and truly come clean?

I love this novel because it shows how little you ever truly know someone. With the rise of social media, creating fake profiles is all too easy and you never really know who you're talking to. Fallon builds up the tension so well that you cannot put this book down. Her characters make bad decisions but somehow, you can relate to all of them.

The perfect novel to pack in your holiday suitcase!
